Sheen and I are not in the best place right now: Denise Richards

Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Denise Richards has finally accepted that her relationship with the disgraced actor is not going well.

"We're not in the best place right now, to be honest with you. But I do still communicate with him," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying on Bravo's 'Watch What Happens Live' last night.

"I've heard he's chosen to use me in part of his tour [material], and that's hurtful. But that's his choice. He can do what he wants in his show. For me, it's very sad to see him on this path."

While the 'Wild Things' actress said she has "accepted" Sheen's lifestyle, she does her best to protect her children from it.

"There's things that I don't think are the most appropriate for two young, impressionable daughters," she said.

When asked about Sheen's current state of sobriety, she replied, "I don't know if he's sober or not."
