Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol to pair up again!

If there is any onscreen pair in Bollywood that sends audiences into a tizzy with their crackling chemistry, it is that of actors Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Every time the duo signed a film together, they have been a major draw at theatres, setting the cash registers ringing.

The last time the two came together was in 2010 in filmmaker Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan. The film was critically acclaimed and won a lot of awards in all departments, but it was a film with a social message. This time, Karan has apparently decided to cast the duo in a romantic film.

The film will be the much awaited reunion of SRK and Kajol, who are known as the most loved couple in B-Town. Karan, who is currently busy with Student Of The Year, has just wrapped up the Thailand schedule of the film and is back in Mumbai.

A source close to him reveals,  “Karan always works on one film at a time and he has just come back from Thailand after having wrapped up portion of his home production. Though he hasn’t announced his next film, it will most probably be with Shah Rukh. But the film won’t be announced before the end of the year and won’t begin rolling before early next year, the reason being SRK’s dates. He’s busy with his upcoming films with Yash Chopra and Farah Khan’s Happy New Year.  He can only give dates in early 2013 now.”

Karan, who had once famously said that he will never make a film without Shah Rukh, also considers Kajol, his lucky mascot. He’s got her to do special appearances in his films, when not playing the main lead. But after MNIK, Karan is now keen to do another film with his favourite heroine in a full-fledged role opposite SRK.

Kajol, who’s just getting back into the groove after the birth of her second child, Yug, has apparently begun looking at scripts. The actor, who has been recently making a lot of public appearances, has lost oodles of weight and is looking her best. If this works out, this will be Kajol’s first film after the birth of her son.
