Shah Rukh Khan at Sanjay Leela Bhansali's service

While we’ve heard of friendships and equations changing every Friday in B-Town, looks like this one is special. Actor Shah Rukh Khan, who acted in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s  Devdas holds him in high regard. Despite not doing a film together after Devdas, the first person Bhansali recently turned to was Shah Rukh. It is a known fact that Sanjay’s sister Bela is making her directorial debut with Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, which has actor Boman Irani and Farah Khan playing the lead characters. When the producers were hunting for a special guest to inaugurate the music and unveil the poster, Sanjay suggested they ask Shah Rukh to do the honours.

A source close to Sanjay reveals, “Sanjay and SRK have been close friends for several years and having worked together so closely, Sanjay wanted SRK to be present for the poster launch. Also, SRK is very particular about being there for his friends so when Sanjay asked him, he immediately agreed to attend the function, without thinking twice. Though there were some prior commitments, he cancelled all his appointments for the day.” Also the very fact that his old friend Farah makes her debut as an actor was reason enough for the actor to apparently attend the function.
Yet another reason for inviting SRK was the fact that the poster that was to be launched was inspired by his old superhit, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge with actor Kajol. Talking about it, Farah says, “I was excited when I heard about the concept of the teaser posters that was about love stories, DDLJ stands out as one of his iconic love stories. This is the best launch a newcomer could have ever gotten.”
