Salman Khan's charitable views

True to his word, actor Salman Khan has sent out feelers that he wants to share a part of his income with the cine artists. The actor, sources say, has asked for a bank account where he can deposit a part of the income that he has accrued from his just released film.

Khan has also declared that he wants to donate a part of the marketing budget of his new film for the welfare of the cine artists.
“I am figuring out how I can donate a part of my income for the welfare of the cine workers but I want to make sure that my money lands up in the right hands,” says Khan refusing to elaborate how much he wishes to donate or other details.

Khan has also decided that he will donate a small amount of his acting fee from the film to the association’s fund. “I am planning to give a part and I myself don’t know how much it is going to be. I think everybody should come up and donate money,” says the actor who is known for his charitable causes.

But first, Khan, who is on the welfare board of cine artists wants to figure out if his money will reach the right places. “We all need to sit down and ensure that money will reach the place it is intended for... and I want to ensure that it happens,” he adds. Khan doesn’t want to get his money entangled in what he calls “administrative costs”.

“Sometimes I see people collecting and keeping 80% of the money that was collected as administrative costs. Now, can someone tell me what are these administrative costs? I think whatever is being collected should go to the people directly. At times, a large portion of the money gets deducted for stupid reasons. I don’t like people who make money on the pretext of charity,” he sneers.
