Rumours hint at Ravi Krishnan, Bandana Tewari split

Society circles are abuzz with IMG head honcho Ravi Krishnan’s reported split with his fashionista wife of 11 years, Bandana Tewari. Reports of Krishnan being with South African model Gabrielle Demetriades are also doing the rounds. However, sources who have been in touch with the couple insist that the revelations have not exactly been a surprise in the couple’s 11-year-old marriage.

Shedding some light on the equation that Krishnan shares with his wife, a source says that the cracks had started to develop quite sometime ago.  “Both Bandana and Ravi are influential people and are almost always neck deep in work. To add to that, they are also frequently travelling on outdoor assignments. Both are very modern in their outlook towards life," says the source.

The buzz doing the rounds is that Krishnan moved out because of his current involvement. However, sources say that Krishnan had actually moved out a few months ago. “Ravi and Bandana are mature adults. They had a detailed discussion and Ravi explained his decision to live separately,” says a source close to the couple.

Another source, who, like the couple is also a fashion week regular, says that it is difficult to fathom what went wrong between them. “During fashion weeks, there were times when the tension between them was very palpable. And there were occasions when they couldn’t keep their eyes or hands off each other! I remember one time, both were seated on opposite sides of the runway and were constantly locking their gaze and communicating in sign language. It was so cute!” says the source.

Whatever Krishnan's marital status is, all his friends insist that his top priority has and always will be his daughter. “She’s around four-years-old and is always following him during fashion weeks. She lights his day up and is one of the biggest reasons that Tewari and Krishnan keep trying to resolve their differences time and again. Let’s hope that they get past this incident too,” says the source. Krishnan was unavailable for comment despite repeated attempts.
