When everybody was criticizing her for putting on weight in all the wrong places, one person took out his sketchboard and came up with a marvelous solution.

No surprise that Vidya Balan swears by Sabyasachi Mukherjee and these days it's a rarity to see her not wearing one of his creations. "Besides understanding me as a person, the best thing about Sabya's designs are his cuts. He makes my clothes look Indian but yet his cuts are very international. I just adore them. Before you confuse the one I am wearing right now with a kurti, take a closer look. This is actually a long shirt," Vidya points out.

Though she refused such offers in the past, Vidya has finally shed her inhibitions and agreed to walk the ramp for Sabya. "He never had showstoppers and I didn't get a good enough opportunity till now. I'm looking forward to walking the ramp for him. Inshallah, it will happen soon," she adds.

So when do we see Vidya wearing a short skirt on screen. "People can look sensual even if they are covered from head-to-toe. I will do it if I want to. For example, if I am playing a prostitute, you can't expect me to wear the dresses I love wearing," she retorts.

Ask Vidya if she feels left out, what with every other actress flaunting their boyfriends and she says, "Let's get this straight. I am single and I can't do much about it. I still haven't found anybody I want to be with. At the same time, I don't want to follow the course because there can be trends in matters of the heart," she says.

But the age-old "trend" of parents slowly drilling into your head that you have to get married is a reality in her life too.

"Yes, they (parents) have been asking me to get married. Shaadi karna zaroori hai, yeh zaroor kaha hai. Magar abhi karna hai, yeh kabhi nahi kaha. Like other parents, they want to see me married. And, yes, they keep talking to me about it. But you see, I'm not ready for it right now and they also know that," she says.

Vidya admits she's been betrayed in love. "Yes, I was jilted but I don't want to qualify whether it was once or twice -- or name anybody. I want to welcome love with open arms all over again. I am a dreamer. I am not the sort of person who will sit and brood over what happened in the past," she signs off.
