Mumbai: Film-maker Ram Gopal Varma went through some very tense moments when the lead actor Priyanka Kothari as well as her body double broke their ankle while doing a crucial scene in his forthcoming film Agyaat.

Priyanka Kothari as well as her body double break their ankles while doing a crucial scene.

A unit member reveals: "While shooting a strenuous sequence for Agyaat, Priyanka broke her ankle and she obviously had to be rested as her body was bursting with pain. Since the actor could not move herself and moving her with help of others were also risky, doctors were rushed on the sets and she was advised rest."

The source adds: "After the break, the shoot needed to happen as they were going full steam ahead to wrap up the schedule. The unit decided to call for a body double. But the scene was maybe jinxed as when she went in to do the shot she also broke her ankle and was in pain. Obviously the portion couldn't be finished."

DNA has learnt that after Priyanka heard that Ramu was in major trouble and that the shooting schedule of the film was going disarray, she took the big risky decision of shooting with her broken ankle.

The source says: "Priyanka decided to take the battle in her hands and in spite of being injured she shot for the sequence herself and avoided the delay in schedule. Ramu was touched by her gesture."

RGV confirms: "Yes, she (Priyanka) broke her ankle during the shoot and was in pain. After the body double also got injured, she decided to do her scene herself."
