Prateik's taxi trouble

A recent promotional event would have been cancelled had actor Prateik (he doesn’t use Babbar) not had the presence of mind to ‘donate’ his car to co-star Kalki Koechlin for a few hours.

Apparently, Kalki was stuck at home because she didn’t have a car. So, Prateik decided to take a cab himself to accommodate Kalki in his car.

“Kalki had told the event organisers that she won’t be able to come for the event because she doesn’t have a car. The organisers in turn contacted UTV (the producers of their  film) saying that they cannot afford to cancel the event at the last moment and if Kalki doesn’t turn up there’s no point in hosting the event,” says a source.

The production house then got in touch with Prateik and said that there’s an issue with Kalki coming, because she doesn’t have a ride.

Apparently, Kalki usually travels in Anurag’s (husband and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap) car if her vehicle is not available, but that day even his car was not available. “Prateik told us that he is sending his car with a driver to Kalki and he will arrange his own vehicle. The car was then sent to Kalki’s house,” the source adds.

But then everyone was  surprised at the venue when they saw Prateik emerging from a taxi! “He said that he wanted to save time and he just took a taxi and came to the event. Later, everybody thought that even Kalki could have done it,” the source adds.
