PETA call Lady Gaga 'heartless'

Lady Gaga has been slammed by PETA, who claim she is heartless.

The animal rights group - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - have criticised the Poker Face hitmaker after she was spotted wearing a white fox fur scarf in Cologne, Germany on Wednesday.

Wendy Wegner, a spokesperson for the organisation said, "The picture speaks for itself. PETA is considering passing the hat so that someone can buy her a heart."

The scarf, which still had the animal's head attached, appeared to be from an Arctic White Fox, which is often electrocuted for its fur.

At one time Gaga took a stand against wearing fur, stepping out in a jacket made from Kermit the Frog puppets, an ironic statement against wearing animal skin.

However, she appears to have changed her stance recently, and said she would no longer comment on whether she wore fur or not.

She wrote on her website, "I am choosing not to comment on whether or not the furs I purchase are faux fur-pile or real because I would think it hypercritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, 'Kermit' and not to mention meat, that I have already worn.

"You see a carcass, I see a museum pièce de résistance."

Gaga, 26, has also attacked PETA's campaign against fur for it use of chock tactics.

She wrote, "I want you to know that I care deeply about your feelings and views, and I will always support your philosophies about life.

"I do not however support violent, abusive, and childish campaigns for ANY CAUSE. Particularly one that I respect. Animal Rights."
