People think I am too intelligent for comedy: Lara Dutta
Lara Dutta, one of the most glamorous actresses in the Indian film industry says that contrary to general perception, she is not a "totally cerebral person."

The former Miss Universe, who has been a part of successful comedies like Partner and No Entry, said that there are many who think that she is too intelligent for comedy.

"People think that I am this cerebral person because I have been the Miss Universe. They think I am too intelligent for comedy. But I enjoy doing comedy the best, it is my favourite genre," said the actress who was in the city to promote her upcoming film Do Knot Disturb where she plays a ditzy supermodel having an affair with a much married Govinda.

The actress seemed so keen to ditch the "intellectual tag" that she went on to say that her character is rather close to life.

"I play Dolly, a supermodel, I can use the word pin-up for her. Govinda is her sugar daddy, though he already has a wife. My character is a naive girl.  And I am sort of like that in real life," said the actress.

The film which will release on October 2, marks the reunion of the comic duo of actor Govinda and director David Dhawan and Lara is excited about working with them again after their earlier hit collaboration Partner, which was released in 2007.

"I have worked with Govinda and David earlier and we had a ball while shooting for the film as I have also worked with Riteish earlier. All of us clicked and had fun shooting," said the actress.

But what about her equation with co-star and fellow Miss Universe Sushmita Sen.

"Sushmita is a very classy, sophisticated lady and she is great to work with," said Lara dismissing reports which claimed that the two were at loggerheads because of the prominence given to Dutta in the film and it's publicity material.

After her head turning role as supermodel Dolly, Lara has no plans to deglam as her bikini act  in Blue has already created a buzz.
