The official representatives of international society swan Paris Hilton and Bollywood actor Kangna Ranaut are engaged in a bitter battle of words. Both parties have released official statements, stating that the other’s lying.
Their bone of contention being that Kangna was approached to endorse Paris’ fashion brand.
Paris, through her representatives, claims that she never contacted Kangna to endorse her clothing line in India. The actor’s managers, on the other hand, maintain that they were contacted by Team Paris Hilton.
The statement released by Paris Hilton Fashions (PHF) not only indicates that Kangna’s lying, it also goes to the extent of saying that the Bollywood hottie had come in touch with Paris in Dubai through her former boyfriend, actor Adhyayan Suman.
“Paris Hilton Fashions (PHF) officially denies approaching Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut, who claims that she is all set to be the face of PHF in India. Paris is a global mega-star and does not need anyone else to be the face of her fashion line, anywhere in the world. Kangna was only briefly introduced to Paris in Dubai by Paris’ friend and Kangna's then-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman,” reads a statement sent by the official representatives.
As a rebuttal to the statement, Kangna’s camp sent a mail as a proof that she never lied. The mail (a copy of which is with After Hrs) was sent from Trishala Goculdas of Elite Models India (July 10, 2010) stating that they are interested in roping in the actor for an international brand. However there’s no mention of Paris in the email.
“…Upon receiving this e-mail, Ms Ranaut’s manager had a telephonic conversation with the agency and the agency confirmed that this is the launch of Paris Hilton’s personal clothing line. However, this query did not materialise into a deal as is the case with many queries…” says a signed statement from Kangna Ranaut’s managers.
In complete contrast to the claim that they met in Dubai through Adhyayan, the letter also clarifies that Kangna or her staff members, have never met Paris!
