Actor Arjun Rampal who just launched his own perfume line in the city is very excited to have started a new chapter in his life. The actor, who was a model previously and is now an entrepreneur, disagrees when we say that perfume brands are usually associated with women. “The largest selling brand of perfume is actor Antonio Banderas’s perfume brand. The process was actually very tedious as I had to go through several sessions. I went through seven sessions. We worked on the ingredients and tried a lot of permutation combinations to get the perfect smell. Of course, I took help from my friends. My kids like it too,” he says.
Keeping the entrepreneurin him aside, he has been written about of late for having apparently fallen out with actor and friend Shah Rukh Khan. Does his professional life get in the way of his personal equations? Arjun explains, “No, it really doesn’t. It is essential that the two people involved know where they stand.
Everyone likes to speculate and sensationalise. I recently read somewhere that we were all having separate New Year parties in Dubai. That was absurd because we were all together. I don’t know where that came from. We are adults and it is important that you take it in your stride and move on. I don’t think it harms you or a relationship that you share with a particular person.”
The National Award winning actor says he is ready with a couple of other projects that he will announce soon. “Rock On 2 is definitely on the cards.The best people to announce would be the producers,” he says. And what about the Ra.One sequel? Is that on the cards as well? “I will be honest. I have no idea, I haven’t heard about that at all. Having said that, I am sure there would be a sequel. It is a good film to do a continuation.” There is also news that his Delhi based lounge called Lap is now going to have its new outlet in Mumbai.A source reveals, “Arjun has been planning to bring Lap to Mumbai for quite sometime now andis busy looking at properties. Since there is a space constraint in Mumbai, he may be open to a smaller place in Mumbai.”
