No powder puff!

Hottie Shriya Saran has gone completely deglam in her next film. She plays the role of a nanny. The young actor says she enjoys being sexy as well as toning down her glam quotient. She will be seen in the ‘nude look’ (without any make-up) in the film that also stars Seema Biswas and Lisa Ray.

“As an actor I want myself to be seen by audiences in a different way with every film. I love when I’m all dolled up and sexy on screen and I equally love the deglam look too. In my next movie Cooking with Stella, I’m wearing no-make up. So, people will actually get to see the natural Shriya Saran. The movie is set in Haridwar and so there’s no scope of me doing anything glam. It’s sometimes great without make-up,” Shriya says.

Shriya, who piggy-backed to limelight by starring alongside Rajnikanth in Sivaji-The Boss, admits that she is yet to be tested as an actor and that she is looking to challenge herself.

“I’m a person who always wants more. Better roles, better challenges and better results excite me. The more the role surprises me, the better it is. Though I have done films in South as well as in Bollywood but I don’t think I have been tested yet. I don’t exactly know my limitations as an actor and I would like to see that. I love how I die with a character and then I am reborn again with the next. I get really attached to the roles that I do and so I take time to sign movies as I concentrate on the thing I have in my hand,” she says.

Ask her what he has learnt from Rajnikanth and she shoots: “I have learnt how to keep the standard high always and how to choose movies that matter instead of doing just random films. He is so down to earth and has no hang ups. He can sit with anyone and have a chat. His simplicity is his charm and that’s why people love him to bits. I have learnt from him how to win hearts by just being a natural. He is not scared to show how he really is to the public and that’s why people relate to him.
