'Parineeta' script wins an ‘Oscar’

The script of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Parineeta has been chosen by the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to include it as a part of the Oscar Library.

The script will be a part of the permanent script collection and will be made available for research to only actors, students, filmmakers and writers, who are regular patrons.

Chopra is obviously thrilled. “I am feeling very good about it. One fine day, we found a letter in the mail, and when one of my office people opened it, it was like hey, our script has been chosen for the Oscar library! I had absolutely no idea. They must have done their research and found the script worthy. It was indeed a very pleasant surprise.”
