ShareMumbai: Ranvir Shorey has finally spoken about his relationship with Konkona Sen Sharma. Maybe the raging rumours of their split have made him do so.
Ranvir told DNA that he has not split with his 'girlfriend' Konkona and that she has been living in with him.
"My girlfriend (Konkona) stays with me at my apartment in Oshiwara (Andheri). We have been living in for quite some time now (approximately a year) and my love life is just as fine. My dad also stays with me in the same apartment. So, I guess we need not say more about how we see our relationship," Ranvir says.
According to Ranvir, his relationship with Konkona is just like everybody else's which goes through the "normal wear and tear" but that doesn't mean that it has gone kaput.
"I don't know where these rumours of a split are coming from. I want to say that we are very much in love and I like her being around in the house. It's a very normal relationship that most couples in Mumbai share. Neither did she ever move out of the house nor did we have a fight. I guess a few people decided to pick on us because till date we have never spoken about our relationship. I still don't want to go on and on saying that things are fine between us," he says.
What's more upsetting, according to Ranvir, are the rumours of his acute depression because Konkona has left him.
"I think I look depressed if I am serious. I can't help if I look that way. But rumours that I have gone into depression because of fights with her is utter nonsense. I thought I would never speak about our relationship but I couldn't stop and react against this utter nonsense," he adds.
The actor keeps quiet about their marriage plans but says he and Konkona are considering a few scripts to star in together.
"I hope that we are able to zoom in on one of the scripts and sign the project. I think by the next few months, we will be able to make an announcement," he ends.
Are they engaged?
It was on the sets of Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance (during June 2008) where news of Konkona's engagement with Ranvir first emerged. Her colleagues noticed the 'engagement' ring on her hand and all of them took turns in congratulating her. Till date, the couple has never acknowledged their relationship in public.
