They could give hot models a run for their money. Mumbai's 5 drop-dead gorgeous mums spill the secrets to their figures…

‘Cooking is relaxing’
Dancing is my first love, eating my second, feeding others my third. My mantra is ‘Eat, Pray, Love…Laugh and Hug’.

I find cooking very relaxing, so when I’m really stressed out I cook. I usually bake pizzas or brownies. I’m a dancer and VJ by profession and recently I danced again on stage which was as thrilling as it has always been.

I’m not a great one for exercise and I have a trainer who takes me through an army workout. Though I eat a lot I hardly seem to put on any weight.

Being with my family is also the most fulfilling time of my life. It could be on a holiday, at a beach or making a ten.
—Maria Goretti, homemaker

‘Biryani rules‘
If there’s one dish that rules the top 10 spot in my heart, then it’s got to be prawn biryani. It simply drives me insane.

Post motherhood, given the demands of the profession of showbusiness, I’ve had no other option but to eat healthy. I’ve cut out chips, soya katris and other fried snacks from my diet — in short, all junk food. If I go out I opt for less oily options and more baked dishes. Also, I don’t consume carbohydrates at night. My husband Boman is extremely health conscious and that has spurred me on even further.

‘I’m a health fanatic’
If there’s one dish that I would cook then it would be a pesto pasta for my 17-year-old daughter Nikita. She absolutely loves it.

I’m a bit of a health fanatic. If I’m attending a large event then I make sure that I eat at home before I venture out. And when I’m outside I ensure that I choose the healthy food options— foods with a low glycemic index. At night I have lots of proteins.

I don’t diet or even like to think of it. I do eat lots but I eat several small quantities several times a day. For breakfast, for example, I have my regular muesli with skimmed milk and if I’m eating meat I usually avoid the red meats and opt for chicken instead.

‘Yoga is power’
I believe in the power of yoga. I think one’s physical and mental well-being has to be in a good balance. I used to have doodhi juice every morning followed by my yoga regime. I also have a katori-sized amount of food — mostly protein and grilled food.

‘Take life easy’
I eat healthy — only food from home. I’m a brown bread--brown rice person and the veggies that I consume are crunchy and I use minimum oil. My most fulfilling times are when I’m with my family. To me, the secret to being happy, is not taking things too seriously. Taking life easy makes things much easier.
