MS Dhoni ready for a Bollywood debut -- Thanks to John Abraham

Team India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has indicated that he will be making his Bollywood debut for his long-time best friend, actor-filmmaker John Abraham. John and Dhoni have been best friends for about seven years now.

“I have always been receiving several Bollywood offers. But frankly, I was never interested in any of them. Besides, I didn’t have the time or the inclination to act in a film. It was never on my radar,” said Dhoni on the sidelines of an event in Mumbai.

According to Dhoni, though the acting offers have never been tempting enough for him to consider, John has always tried to convince him to act in a film.

“(I would do) Anything for John!” exclaims Dhoni when directly asked if he is going to ever act in a film. “I can only tell you that we have  not planned anything yet. But I would do anything that John asks me to do. If he asks me to act in one of his films, I would gladly do that,” he adds.

The cricket skipper shrugs  mysteriously when asked if we can expect anything soon from them. Similarly, John too keeps mum about a possible acting assignment that he is planning for Dhoni.
According to sources close to John, there are two films that Dhoni might make an appearance in and both are slated to be John’s  films. One is a co-production that John is planning with a leading producer and the other, a David Dhawan film Hook Ya Crook that’s been lying in the cans for a long time and may get revived should Dhoni step into the picture.

Sources reveal that David is in talks with Dhoni for the climax sequence in the film. “Yes, there are talks of getting Dhoni on board for the climax. He just needs to give us 15 days for the shoot,” says a source. David also confirmed the same.
So what’s the hitch? Sources say that Dhoni wants to make a better debut than just play himself in a film’s climax. And yes, sources also say that Dhoni doesn’t want to play Dhoni but a cool dude or a friend of the hero’s.
