Mel C wants to work with Spice Girls again after Olympic show

Mel C reckons that Spice Girls could get back together and possibly go to places they did not visit on their 2007 world reunion tour, after their spectacular performance at the London Olympic closing ceremony.

Before the band reunited to perform during the Olympics, they made a comeback in 2007, playing gigs across the globe, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Vancouver and 17 dates at London’s O2 arena.

But they cancelled remaining dates in China, South Africa, Australia and South America at the start of 2008.

Now Mel, who will play Mary Magdalene in the UK arena tour of ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ later this year, has given hope to fans that they could see the group back on stage again.

“It is odd being back together. It’s a bit surreal because we’re still friends and we still see each other but it’s rare that all five of us get together and when we do it’s in front of the world, so it’s weird,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.

“I never thought we’d perform together again the first time when we reunited in 2007 and I think we toured for about six months.

“Unfortunately we didn’t get to Australia, we didn’t get to South America…but you never know. I’d love to work with the girls again, it’s always such an event,” she said.
