Their intimate friends circle is literally referred to as the ‘gang’ in Tinselville. It is no secret that the First Ladies of Tinseltown — Gauri Khan, Mehr Jessia, Twinkle Khanna, Suzanne Roshan and other influentials like Nandita Mahtani and Maheep Kapoor and others are best friends. They hang out with each other, go for short holidays and even throw big bashes for each other.

Some friendships like Gauri and Suzanne’s have also been instrumental in bringing their husbands Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan closer and become great friends. It is because of their wives that the superstars are even planning to do a movie together post Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

These ladies have forged such a strong bond that they believe that their friends will be watching their back. These gal pals are not just fair weather friends who have fun and party but are each others’ emotional support too. They are so close knit that insiders even say that most of them know where they even are at a given time.
Such bonding is a rarity in cut-throat B-Town that sees people mostly mix with each other just to make good contacts for their needs and forget about the person as soon as their work is done. Sometimes even egos come between people resulting in best friends cutting off ties in a flash like Shah Rukh and Salman Khan’s bitter tiff that divided the industry.

A highly placed source says, “Their husbands remain flooded with work for most of the time of the year and it’s great that they have found each other for company. But it’s more than just giving each other company. All their husbands are professional rivals too so their wives in a way must be reducing the tension that exists. Who wants to think of rivalry when their wives are best friends?”

Maheep, wife of Sanjay Kapoor, had said, “It is not always that you make good friends in the industry. So, I treasure it. My friends are my support system and though we have lots of fun, we know that we are there for each other.”
