London: Rock star Liam Gallagher recently showed his soccer skills, when he took to the football field playing for bankrupt Berkhamsted FC in a fund-raising game.
A strong crowd of 200 people cheered the former Oasis frontman, as his side won 5-3 against the Arcadia Group at their own Hertfordshire ground.
"We recently refurbished Liam's house and I asked him to play. It was great to see everyone's faces when he came," the Sun quoted Paul Smith, boss of club sponsor Stoneforce, as saying.
He added, "He raced up and down the wing, and came close to scoring a few times. He's pretty fit. Then he stayed until 1am drinking and telling stories.
"He even played the lads new songs. He had a great time."
