Meditation, yoga will prove helpful to Lindsay Lohan, Hindu statesman Zed suggests

Hollywood diva Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls) reportedly adopting meditation and yoga in her life was "step in the right direction" for her, acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has pointed out.

In a statement in Nevada (USA) today, Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, argued that finding inner peace through spirituality would be very helpful to Lohan.

He suggested her to determinedly seek Self through mediation and have self-control.

Talking about those who have "conquered themselves", Lord Krishna revealed in ancient Hindu scripture Bhagavad-Gita (Song of the Lord)-They live in peace, alike in cold and heat, pleasure and pain, praise and blame; Rajan Zed said.

Lohan started her jail sentence in Lynwood (California) on July 20 for probation violation. MTV Award winner Lindsay Dee Lohan, 24, is a well known American actress-singer-model and has topped Maxim's 'Hot 100'.

Apparently showing her belief in 'karma', Lohan wrote on social networking service 'twitter' sometime back: "i'm all about Karma.. what goes around comes around!"

Hinduism is the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion adherents and moksh (liberation) is its ultimate goal.
