Mallika Sherawat's debatable fashion sense

Whether or not actress Mallika Sherawat’s fashion sense, especially on the red carpet is good or bad, is debatable. Her recent outing at Cannes didn’t seem to fetch her any brownie points from fashionistas back home.

Ditto with her outing for a Bollywood awards function held at Toronto for which she donned a strapless leopard print gown with a fishtail.

But a little birdie tells us that no matter what the response to her animal print gown, Sherawat is happy with her choice because she was appreciated for her choice by none other than Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the designers of the gown.

A source says, “Mallika got a positive response from those who saw her upfront at the awards function. But appreciation from Domenico and Stefano made her day.”

The designer duo apparently saw pictures of the actor wearing a gown from their collection and felt that she did justice to their creation.

“They sent her a personalised letter. It said that Mallika rocked the gown and that she wore it with immense style and elegance. Obviously, Mallika was more than just flattered,” says the source.
