Mallika Sherawat does a Sridevi

The tension is very apparent on Mallika Sherawat’s face as the release date of her film is nearing.

“I am going to bite anyone who tends to give negative comments about my film,” says Mallika, who made a guest appearance on a singing reality show on Zee.

Dressed in a white dress which was no way near her scary avatar in her forthcoming film, Mallika decided to dance when she was asked to sing on telly recently.

What’s more, Mallika decided to do the famous Sridevi dance (the way she danced in her yesteryears hit film Nagin).

“She was requested to sing by Sajid-Wajid (the hosts of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa) but she said she was going to sing. So, the hosts decided to dance with her. Mallika then started dancing like Sridevi while the musicians played the snake tune in the background. She seemed quite aware that she was mimicking Sridevi and she seemed to enjoy it,” says a source.

The musicians played one of her earlier hits (Maiya Maiya from Mani Ratnam’s Guru) while Mallika kept on doing all the moves that Sridevi did in Nagin.

“After a point Sajid and Daler Mehndi (a judge on the reality show) also joined Mallika on the stage,” the source adds.
Mallika has taken it upon herself to promote her forthcoming film where she plays an Icchadhari Nagin. If sources are to be believed then she is also dubbing the film in Tamil to get hold of the South audience.
