Hot, hardcore and sexy as sin, the new age woman not only wears the pants but also dons the spandex.

If Hollywood is ODing onAngelina Jolie (Salt), Scarlett Johansson (Ironman), Blake Lively (Green Lantern) and Uma Thurman, who started it all with her slicing it up act in the Kill Bill series, Bollywood is not too far behind.

Actors like Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, and the newest addition, Priyanka Chopra are all playing (s)he-man and doing stunts or action-oriented roles. Priyanka has even earned the tag of ‘(s)hero’ from SRK.

Actress Koena Mitra is happy with the new trend. “It makes the dancing around tree routine passe. Women are now geared to do their own stunts.”

Actress Kim Sharma agrees, “Hollywood and Bollywood are gifted with women who can look athletic and oomphy. And when a woman does action, it leaves animpact in the movie.”

The men cannot get enough of the trend. Says billiards champ Pankaj Advani, “Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron have taken it to another level by adding to the oomph on screen.” Actor Purab Kohli’s bows down to Michelle Pfeiffer’s rendition of Catwoman, “No one’s given Batman that much competition as Catwoman. In Bollywood, it’s Priyanka Chopra for me.”

Actress Eesha Koppikhar begs to differ. “Female actors can play super-heroes in Hollywood, in Bollywood, I doubt it. Our top heroes won’t allow the heroines to steal the show from them.”
