Madhavan, who has just got rid of his flab and acquired a toned look, reveals how he had one of his wildest dreams come true. The actor, it seems, just can’t stop raving about Sir Ben Kingsley with whom he has just shot Teen Patti in London.
“I was always this huge fan of Sir Ben. I know you will find it typical because I have a film releasing with him. But if you ever come home, you will see that I have an entire DVD collection of his movies. He was always my favourite actor and I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I will be sharing screen space with him someday,” says Madhavan.
Madhavan, according to reports, is playing the student of Amitabh Bachchan, who plays a mathematics professor in the film. Madhavan is not lying. If one goes through his earlier interviews three/four years back, it becomes clear that Madhavan had always fantasised about acting with Sir Ben. In fact, in one of his earlier interviews in 2007, Maddy had actually said that he had come into acting after seeing Sir Ben’s Gandhi.
According to sources though, Maddy was overwhelmed when he was asked to shoot with Sir Ben. “Madhavan was nervous when he was told to act with Sir Ben in the outdoor schedule that happened in London. But after a while it was Sir Ben who was seen talking to Maddy. After that ice- breaker from Sir Ben, Maddy became quite relaxed and Leena (the director) was also happy with the shots. But it was the shots between Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) and Sir Ben that are worth watching out for. They have been outstanding,” the source adds.
