They are the women who found themselves up close and personal with cricketers. As India goes head-to-head with Australia in the World Cup quarter-finals today, these actresses tell us who they are rooting for.

You might know : That she was rumoured to be seeing cricketer Yuvraj Singh before actor Ranbir Kapoor entered the scene. She was also photographed with skipper MS Dhoni.  She was even clicked having lunch with both of them!

Batting for: “Indian athletes and sports persons are one of the best in the world. I will always be the first to cheer for India when the team goes out to the field, in any game. Our cricket team is the best in the world, there’s no doubt about it. We will win no matter who the opponents are!”

You might know: That she was rumoured to be seeing Dhoni before his marriage. Dhoni reportedly visited her house more than once and apparently stayed over a couple of times.
Batting for: “Team India, and wishing them all the very best.  I also hope and wish that Sachin gets his century’s century in this match itself! India is  the superior team. I’m shooting so wouldn’t b able to watch the match, but will keep myself updated for sure!”

Preity Zinta
You might know: That during the first 20-20 cricket season, she was clicked hugging and kissing Yuvraj after winning a match.

The actressr got upset after the photographs made headlines.
Batting for: The Indian cricket teams. It rocks! There’s no doubt about it that we are the best team in the world. I just hope along with the millions of this country that we bring the Cup home. No matter who the opposition is, we are going to win. We have the most talented players in the world and yes, we also have the best batsman in the world — Sachin Tendulkar. I am going to be all eyes and ears tomorrow.

You might know: That she has been off and on with spinner Harbhajan Singh for a couple of years now. Grapevine has it that she is the reason for Harbhajan’s trips to Mumbai.
Batting for:  Our team! We are going to win today. We have a very strong bowling line-up and the batsmen are the best. We also have some of the best spinners in the world. And the boys are charged up enough to snatch a win from the Australians. I am going to pray every moment for a win.

You might know: That she was rumoured to be in a relationship with Zaheer Khan, but the the pressures of both their jobs (his playing assignments and her outdoor shooting schedules) apparently led to a split.
Batting for: “I don’t agree that our team depends on individual performances or that they choke under pressure. We are like any other team in the world, who has its ups and downs. We need to have faith in our players, and we need to believe that we can win. This collective faith can only translate into a win the (quarter final) match and who knows? The world cup too!
