AR Rahman had a star guest at his just concluded Jai Ho Concert in the US. It was Kylie Minogue.
Kylie and AR Rahman bonded really well when the singer got her to sing Chiggy Wiggy, a track from the film Blue that released last Diwali. The film bombed badly at the box office and the track too didn’t stay on the charts for a long time like other AR Rahman hits. But by that time, Kylie and AR Rahman had forged a strong bond of friendship.
“Kylie and Rahman remained in touch since over email. Kylie wanted to work with Rahmanbhai again. He invited Kylie to his Chicago show,” says a source close to Rahman.
Rahman was pleasantly surprised when he found Kylie on the front row of his show. Kylie was seen cheering and clapping after every act of Rahman during the show.
Rahman promptly tweeted on Kylie’s page after the show.
“Thanks for coming, it was so nice to see you again,” said Rahman to Kylie.
Another piece of good news for Rahman fans is that the star musician has decided to bring out a DVD of his successful tour in
the US.
“I know you are all excited to share pictures and videos from the concert. We are going to release a DVD of the concert later this year. Please keep the surprise and excitement alive for the remaining cities on the tour,” Rahman revealed on Saturday.
