'Khamoshhh!' Shatrughan Sinha clamps a deadline on daughter

The unit members of Shirish Kunder’s directorial film were apparently in for a rude shock, when they were told that their heroine Sonakshi Sinha won’t be available to shoot after 1pm. The film,  also starring actor Akshay Kumar, had a night schedule from this week.

“The schedule of Joker was to start at 10 pm, and continue through the night. We were planning to wrap up by three  o’clock and keep UTV (producers of the film) informed accordingly. Just as the shoot was to start, a staff from Sonakshi’s office told the unit members that she won’t be unavailable post 1am,” says a source.

The unit members were in a tizzy as they needed the night schedule to shoot several three dimensional sequences. They tried pleading with Sonakshi’s staff that it would be impossible to slate the schedule at an earlier time as the shoot time was expected to jump over 1am.

“They (Sonakshi’s staff) were adamant and said that it’s a directive from Shatrughan Sinha that Sonakshi won’t be allowed to stay out of the house after 1am, she had to return home by that time. Any amount of pleading fell on deaf ears. However, we have not given up on it yet. We are trying to speak to Shatruji to convince him that Sonakshi will be looked after well during the night schedule. It’s still work in progress,” says another unit member.

Last heard, the shooting schedule was being held in the evening so that Sonakshi could be free by 12 midnight.
