The international wrestler has teamed up with the WWF superstar in the Hollywood film Get Smart, reports Prithwish Ganguly
The Indian born Dalip Singh Rana, known world over as The Great Khali --a physically imposing wrestler--is all set to prove his mettle in Hollywood again after two years.
After his debut in the Adam Sandler and Chris Rock comedy The Longest Yard (2005) Khali, sources say, might reunite with Sandler in another rugby film that will also have the iconic Sean Connery in it.
Moreover, Khali has been also signed for another Hollywood spy film Get Smart --that has a stellar cast comprising Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson (aka the former WWF superstar Rock), Alan Arkin and Bill Murray.
What Khali is most excited about, apart from his re-entry in Hollywood, is the fact that he is working with wrestler Rock in Get Smart. "While Khali was most kicked about working with Rock, the latter was also very forthcoming when he met Khali. They bonded very well," a source says.
"Khali is a good brand now in Hollywood. He has lots of offers from various internationally acclaimed filmmakers," says the source. "He has finished shooting for Get Smart. He plays an evil agent in the film. He is happy to be in a movie that has so many big names in the cast."
Get Smart releases in the US this June.
