Katie Holmes to make special appearance in 'How I Met Your Mother'

Hollywood actress and Tom Cruise’s wife Katie Holmes will reportedly make a special appearance in comedy sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’ which features Josh Radnor in the lead role along with Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan.

Holmes, 32, who rose to fame through the TV series Dawson’s Creek, will play the woman in the “slutty pumpkin” costume, which the fans had been introduced to in the first season.

The show, which will be in its seventh season, has repeatedly shown Radnor’s character, Ted Mosby, eagerly waiting year after year to meet this mystery girl at the same party, which will be revealed now through Holmes’ character.

“Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we’ve saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show’s history,” Contactmusic quoted show creator Craig Thomas as saying.
