Kareena Kapoor delays honeymoon for Christmas

Actress Kareena Kapoor is finally close to wrapping up all her professional work commitments for the year and leave for her much-delayed honeymoon with hubby, actor Saif Ali Khan. But, Kareena reveals that the trip to Switzerland will have to wait till Christmas.

“I will celebrate Christmas here in the city with my mum and family before I leave for Switzerland,” says Kareena excitedly. “It’s a tradition I follow, to be in the city and attend church for Christmas with mum and Lolo (sister, actor Karisma Kapoor). It’s an important aspect of my memories and also something that I look forward to each year, so yes, the honeymoon will have to wait till after Christmas,” adds Kareena.

Meanwhile, the actress is thrilled with the response she has been garnering for her recent release Talaash. “It was exactly a decade ago that my career as an actor had taken a turn when I had played a sex worker in Chameli. I was 22 then. At 32, I have played a sex worker again and this film too has been an important landmark for me,” says Kareena.

So, what did Saif have to say about her performance? “Saif hasn’t seen the film yet,” she shares, but adds that he is really keen on seeing it. “He is also excited with the response I have been getting. In fact, he plans to throw a party for me when he returns from Lucknow (where he is shooting at present). So yes, I can’t wait for him to return and celebrate the success with him,” smiles the actress.
