Former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev has been approached to be part of a celebrity reality television show that will be entirely shot in the jungles of Malaysia. Titled Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao!, the show is the Hindi version of the hit English TV show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
A source close to the development says, "Kapil Dev has definitely been approached by Sony TV for this reality TV show whose format is very similar to I'm a Celebrity... He has quoted a very price for his appearance."
DNA has also learnt that the other celebrity contestants to have been approached by the channel to take part in this physically and mentally challenging show are Koena Mitra, Gracy Singh, Aditya Pancholi, Sameera Reddy and Mimoh Chakraborty, amongst others. The show is set to go on air on July 13.
When contacted Kapil said, "I have got many calls from many people asking me to be a part of many things but nothing concrete has happened so far and so I'm not in a position to say anything." Well, he certainly is not denying the news.
