Siddanth

The just released Kannada film AK 56 was touted to be the relaunch vehicle of actor Siddanth. So does he feel the film has achieved its purpose?
“I am grateful to people for accepting my film. It is proving to be a big hit with the mass audience. In fact, it is due to word of mouth publicity that the film is running successfully,” he says. What has however left the actor in a happy space is the fact that he is being compared to the likes of Darshan and Sudeep. “I have been getting calls from Hubli and Dharward. Audiences in these centres feel that I have entered the league of A list action heroes with this film. They have been appreciating my dialogue delivery style and body language,” he claims.
The reactions from within the industry have also been positive according to him. “I have got offers from two big banners. But I will take a call only after I listen to the scripts. I am in no hurry to sign films,” he says. Currently, he is busy with the shooting of Chatrapathi. “It is the remake of Telugu film Chatrapathi. I am an admirer of Prabhas’s action flicks and I felt that his character in the film is something that would suit me as well. That’s why I decided to act in the remake. I am hoping for this film to boost my action hero image,” he adds. Chatrapathi is slated for an April-May release.
