Mumbai: Looks like Kangana Ranaut is in the middle of another controversy. Recently, a prominent soap brand claimed that they have dropped Kangana as their brand ambassador because of the 'past controversies in her personal life'. However, the actor said that she has never spoken to anybody from the company.

"We have been thinking about replacing Kangana Ranaut with Sonali Bendre as the face of the soap brand. Sonali has been the face of the soap for a long time and now the company felt that they need another face. Kangana was our first choice because she fitted the brand completely. But we later found out that we were ignoring something else," said a source associated with the deal.

The "something else", company sources said, was Kangana's infamous track record, especially her public fight with her former married boyfriend Aditya Panscholi. Aditya had claimed that Kangana was a gold-digger and had used him to get a foothold in Bollywood.

However, contrary to claims of the soap brand, Kangana's spokesperson said, "She has never spoken to a soap brand. In fact, she has not signed on any brand because she is shooting for seven movies which are up for release. She is open to endorsements, but this offer never came to her. She is surprised that a needless and baseless rumour about her is being floated. People don't even consider how she may feel about it."

A source close to Kangana added, "It is sick that somebody would try to drag her back to the past when she has moved on and entered into a different league. This is so sad for somebody like Kangana who has never had anything to hide in her life. She is hurt and she will not react any way so that it fuels more controversies, which seem to the vested interest of the people floating such rumours."

Company sources said that they have now gone ahead and signed a fresh face instead -- Hansika Motwane. This was confirmed by Hansika's spokesperson who said, "We knew that Kangana was the first choice for the campaign and she was dropped because her image didn't suit the brand. We were told that because of her personal life, the company decided not to go ahead and sign her. So, the deal has now been sealed with Hansika. She will start shooting for the campaign soon."
