John Abraham's pricey act!

Despite buzz about the actor having hiked up his acting fees after three back-to-back hits, sources close to the actor rubbish the rumours.

John Abraham's pricey act!

Actor John Abraham who will be seen doing some rather heavy-duty action scenes in Race 2 — for which he’d been shooting in Istanbul — had been training extra hard for the sequences for over a month even before the shoot had begun.

“There’s a lot of raw action, hand-to-hand combat and pushing and throwing around, so the body takes a lot of beating and one has to be in top form to pull it through,” says the action hero. Taking his action image seriously, John admits that he connects  to it more than any other genre. “I take my ‘Action Abraham’ tag very seriously. It’s a genre I am comfortable in and really enjoy,” adds John.

Meanwhile, it’s being said that unlike most actors whose remuneration shoots up right after they deliver a hit at the BO, John is not looking at hiking up his price despite giving three back-to-back hits. Confirming this, a source close to the actor says, “Money has never been a draw for John to do films. In fact, he has been vey flexible when it came to projects that he felt strongly about, no matter how risky they were at the BO. So, that’s never the driving factor for him.

” While money is not a decisive factor when it comes to doing films, an insider reveals that it’s no different when to comes to his brands either. Citing a recent incident, the source says, “John has recently turned down an offer made to him by a real estate brand despite being offered a figure in crores. They were even ready to up their offer price to have him on board. However, John was not comfortable endorsing something that he wasn’t convinced about and so turned down the offer politely.”

The actor, who’s been busy juggling his films with his production house, as well as brand endorsements is expected to begin shooting for Dostana sequel and Jaffna soon after he wraps up Race 2. He will also be completing work on Shootout At Wadala. Point out how all three films are exteremly different from each other, and John says, “You know as an actor I have to comply to the commercial format, but even in that, it’s my way of not conforming to doing a particular thing. I like to have a nice mix.”
