It’s Bollywood time for Tena Desae

For many actors, even after making a mark in the industry,  doing a film with a renowned filmmaker in Hollywood is still a dream. But guess actor Tena Desae is rather lucky to have tasted success with her Hollywood debut. Having worked with Oscar-winning British filmmaker John Madden in the film, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, the model-turned-actor Tena, was paired opposite Slumdog Millionaire actor Dev Patel is all set to begin her work in Bollywood with the edgy thriller Table No.21 directed by Aditya Dutt. A source says, “The film is a thriller and it will see actor Rajeev Khandelwal in a brand new avatar. It will also have actors Paresh Rawal and Tena.

The film is scheduled to go on the floor on June 26. Everyone including the star cast is very excited about the film as it is a gripping tale. Also Tena, who has worked with British cinema’s best talents like Judi Dench, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Nighy and Maggie Smith, is looking forward to this new experience.”

Tena, a Bangalore-based model has done over 90 commercials before turning to acting. Talking about her upcoming film, she says, “Table No.21 is a thriller  and I’m really excited to be working with and learning from Paresh Rawal. It is also going to be very interesting to be working alongside Rajeev as I have seen his earlier work and he was incredible.”
