Is Sonu Nigam miffed with Sanjay Leela Bhansali?

Touted to be singer Sonu Nigam’s new singing reality show on the tube, but for some reason he was kept out of the loop about its launch. Ask the singer about it, and he said, “I did not know that there was some launch happening. I wasn’t told of it. But it’s alright as I have other commitments.”  These other ‘commitments’ included attending an awards function and a school event.

Film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is debuting on TV as a judge. If sources are to be believed then the singers (Shreya Ghosal, who’s also a judge on the show and Sonu) are apparently upset with the fact that too much importance and money is being given to Bhansali for a show that happens to be a singing reality show.

When asked if it’s true that he is miffed about the filmmaker getting more prominence, Sonu said, “I don’t know about others, but I am beyond such pettiness. I know what I am all about. As far as Bhansali is concerned, he’s an introvert, but now he is opening up. And if we have to talk about money, I don’t care who gets what. I am happy with what I get.”
