Indian films look like fun: Zach Galifianakis

American stand-up comedian Zach Galifianakis talks to DNA about Indian cinema and more.

Have you seen any Indian film? What is your opinion about films made in India?
Oh yes..I have seen a few. But are you gonna ask me to name them? Boy, they are real tongue twisters. All I can say in Hindi is Namaste! Indian films look like so much fun.

Is there an Indian actor that you are fond of?
I like that guy with straight hair and brown eyes...I can’t get the name.

Can you talk about your character for this and why you think you were right for this role versus one of the others?
I play a character, Alan, who’s a well intentioned moron who is kind of trapped in adolescence. He wants friends but can’t get any adult friends really

Do you think the song and dance routine Indian films have, move them away from reality?
I don’t think so. Why do you have to make real movies? It’s all about making the audiences happy at the end of the day...be it the real way or unreal way.

Would you, if there’s a chance, act in a Bollywood movie?
I would love to. But for that I have to first lose weight and shave that beard off and I am sure I will manage to get a romantic lead!

Have you been to India?
Hangover 2 bought me till Bangkok.. I guess Hangover 3 will get me to India.

What is the most outrageous thing that you have ever done?
I have this handkerchief in my left pocket which I’ve been carrying since I was 10. It’s a priceless posession which I use it day in and out, it has never ditched me! May it be sweat, rain or dust..its always been there, and I have yet not washed it. Don’t you think that’s outrageous enough?
