I’m an absolute bookworm, reveals Kajol

Anyone who’s worked with actor Kajol would know what she would be busy doing in between her film shoots. They all reveal in unison that when not poring over her dialogues, the actor would be engrossed in a book. “I’m an absolute books person, to the point of being called a bookworm,” agrees Kajol. Talking about her love for reading, the yum mum adds, “If there’s one thing I can’t do without, apart from my family of course, it’s got to be books.”

Kajol admits that post mommyhood her reading has considerbaly reduced, but she manages to squeeze in her book time. “Earlier it was impossible to catch me without a book in hand, but now I have to make an extra effort to take time out for reading,” shares the actor. As for her taste in books, Kajol adds, “I go for the light, frothy kind of novels, so even the romantic sorts work just great. I don’t enjoy the heavy kinds at all,” she reveals. “As a mother now, I do hope that my kids too enjoy reading as much as I do, but I do wish they read more of meaningful stuff as well,” smiles the actor.
