Actor Kajol’s already shaped up post the birth of her second child, Yug, and the actor who’s been making a rather stylish appearance at several events off late in her svelte figure, credits it all to her intense workout sessions. “I am addicted to my workouts. In fact, I’m an absolute workout-aholic!” reveals Kajol. But it’s not in a bid to get into a certain size, says the actor. “I have always been a fitness freak. So I love my weights and the hardcore training,” she adds. The actor reveals that she’s equally conscious about her diet. “I don’t believe one bit when actors talk about not dieting. As for me, I do diet, but do not starve myself. I keep a check on what I eat and am open about it too,” she says.

But more than the figure, the workouts are really important for Kajol for one more reason. “They are my ‘me time’ that I really look forward to each day. I think it’s essential for women to take some time off for themselves. You know with kids, everything revolves around them and I love every moment I spend with them, but I believe that everyone needs to have that ‘me time’ which is equally important for the overall well-being,” elaborates Kajol.

“So, working out, reading some books — not the heavy kinds, but light stuff — and then working out some more is what my ‘me time’ is all about,” adds Kajol.  The actor also explains that it’s important to weed out all negativity. “I think surrounding yourself with people you genuinely love and care about helps to keep that positivity in life. Also once you prioritise things in life, it’s easy to live  a happy and content life, which is extremely necessary for a healthy lifestyle,” adds Kajol.
