Greed
Akshay: Greed is very good. I’m a very greedy person and I want to do better movies and get more hits. But in this race I do remember that my greed isn’t dominating me as that way I will exhaust myself trying to outrun my deeds.
Katrina: I channelise my greed in the right way. I use it for doing the right kind of work, the right films. I’m greedy too like every individual but in being so, I don’t harm others or get jealous of others’ successes. I use my greed to better myself.
Wrath
A: I get angry when I don’t get returns after working hard, but wrath is something that I don’t think I have. I’ve been in the industry for years and I didn’t get success when I started off. I used to get angry on myself but I never got aggressive. I worked hard and I’ve always controlled my anger.
K: I have never seen Akshay get angry. I get angry too but I have never been rude to anyone. It is very momentary for me. I actually time myself and then react if I still feel disturbed. I have seen that anger makes you do silly things and 99 percent of those acts I have regretted doing.
Envy
A: I get envious but in a good way, because I want to match the standards of others. That makes me push myself and never be content.
K: All sins are traits that every individual has. Too much of anything is not good and for me envy too has the same relevance.
Lust
A: Lust for life and adventure is something I have in me big time. Oh, and I love travelling too. I’m quite lusty that way (laughs).
K: I have a lust for life and lust to succeed. It’s a personality trait that we all have. We have to have a lust for something that drives us.
Pride
A: I’m a proud individual. I’m proud of my family — parents, wife, children. I’m proud of the work that I have done and that I have been lucky to come this far without knowing anyone from the industry.
K: I’m proud of who I am as I think everyone should be proud of themselves and that shows and brings a lot of confidence in you.
Sloth
A: I’m not slothful. I don’t take things or people for granted. I’ve never taken my art for granted too. I’ve passionately pursued cinema.
K: I have been going about doing my things very intensely and I don’t think I have ever left things just like that ever.
Gluttony
A: I have over-indulged but only when it comes to my work. Otherwise, I’m quite a control freak and don’t let things guide me or overpower me at all.
K: Never, I guess, except for work and things that I really love the most. Any word that has ‘over’ attached to it is deadly and I follow this strictly in my life.
