Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor might be riding on a crest of popularity right now thanks to his sincere performance in his newest film, but it's his father Rishi's compliment which touched him the most.

Rishi Kapoor feels his son has proved his mettle with his new film, but Ranbir insist he's content being known as papa's boy.

After watching the film, Rishi was so overwhelmed that he said that he feels his son has finally overtaken him. However, Ranbir says, "I will never ever be able to -- or want to -- overtake dad. He has such a great body of work and is such an amazing actor that I would like to be called Rishi Kapoor's son for the longest time, if not always. I want to be known as his son, more than being known as Ranbir Kapoor."

Even though he has been getting rave reviews, Ranbir says he is too busy shooting in Lucknow to catch up on it. "I know back home they have been talking about it, but thankfully I am disconnected from it all. We worked hard for the movie and I'm glad it is being appreciated. But if I am in the midst of all that talk, I might lose touch with reality," he says humbly.

Ask the shy actor who is dating Deepika Padukone if he's aware that his list of female fans has grown after the film, he laughs, "I am glad I am disconnected from that world right now. I don't know if girls like me more now. If I knew about it, it would go to my head."

While committments weigh him down, Ranbir will most probably be walking the ramp at Couture Week for Karan Johar. "I am trying my best to take a day off from the shoot to be there. Yeah, that would be an experience," he says.
