Hollywood actor Johnny Depp’s Caribbean Island in the Bahamas has been converted into a sustainable property that runs only on solar-hydrogen power. Leonardo DiCaprio uses organic sheets for his bed and an energy efficient toilet in his LA home while actress Jessica Alba did up her LA home in with non-toxic and furniture made of recycled materials.

Actor Orlando Bloom too has installed solar panels and energy efficient light bulbs in his London Home. And actress Julia Roberts has solar panels and recycled tile installed throughout the home in her Malibu mansion.

Many of the Hollywood celebrities also use electric cars to reduce pollution and save up on fuel consumption. Actor George Clooney is a proud owner of the new Tango T600, an electric car that has two motors, runs on a battery and is considered the most ecologically friendly vehicle.

Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz, who has driven a Prius since they first became available and continues to commute in a hybrid vehicle. Diaz was also selected as a presenter for Al Gore’s groundbreaking documentary An Inconvenient Truth.

Hollwood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie too have invested in a $70 million dollar chateau, which will be designed keeping in mind the eco-friendly environment.  The 880-acre estate French Riveria in a 35-bedroom palace will come with an organic vineyard, plenty of playspace, an olive grove, 20 fountains, a private lake, and their own forest.
