Rumour mills are churning the news that George Clooney will walk down the aisle with his Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis.
In fact, friends say, of all the women Clooney has dated, she is the one destined to become is wife, and it doesn't really seem far.
Rumours of marriage are swirling around the resort of Lake Como, where the couple is holidaying.
The gossip became even more frenzied when staff began putting up what looked like a wedding gazebo in the grounds of George's 10million pounds villa.
They have been playing it cool for days, cruising on the lake's steamer and sipping champagne with friends including Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber.
"Thanks to him, I have found serenity. There's a change within me and it's thanks to the person at my side," the Mirror quoted Elisabetta as saying.
Asked to describe her best qualities, model and actress Elisabetta said: "I am a tomboy. I am not the sort of girl who dreams of becoming a mother but I do believe in matrimony.
