Freida Pinto researched Internet for her role in 'Planet of the Apes'

Freida Pinto has revealed that she spent a lot of time online, researching about chimpanzees, to prepare for her role in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

The Indian-origin actress was a little disappointed when Rupert Wyatt, director of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, decided not to use real primates for the movie.

Despite the director not using real primates, the Slumdog Millionaire actress admits that she enjoyed learning about them by looking them up on the web.

"I would have loved to (spend time with apes) but there wasn't much opportunity," the Daily Star quoted her as telling the Daily Mirror.

"I did spend a lot of time reading about chimps, and also examining (primatologist) Jane Goodall’s interviews and all her YouTube video links, so I did that kind of research," she added.
