Everything is perfect: Rana Daggubati

Actor Rana Daggubati who just turned a year older recently is more than happy with what life has been throwing his way. He celebrated his birthday in Hyderebad and later brought in the New Year in Goa with his friends, a ritual that he has been religiously doing from the past couple of years. Talking about it, he says, “I make it a point to go to Goa each year for New Years. I love the vibe of that place. Co-incidentally my first film, Dum Maaro Dum was also shot in Goa. It is a lovely place and I loved shooting there.”

Contrary to reports, he didn’t celebrate NYE with actor Bipasha, as per reports. “I had gone there for a music festival with my friends and no, Bipasha wasn’t there at that time,” he clarifies. Bipasha did spend NYE in Goa but despite Rana being there, the duo didn’t see each other as Bips was with his best friends, Dianne Pandey and Rocky. So have they fallen out? “Bipasha is a very sweet girl and these kind of questions leave me flummoxed. She is one of the few friends I have here and she is like family. First there was speculation that I was dating her but the truth is that I have absolutely no time to get into that space at all. Nothing is happening on that front, really because I am literally living out of a suitcase.”

Personal life aside, is there anything Rana wished for this birthday or resolved to do? “Well, I used to have resolutions but then I started breaking them each year so now I have stopped resolving. Things are perfect and I couldn’t have asked for more. I want things to be this way always. I have four Telegu films lined up for release and two Hindi films. What more could I ask for?” Any specific role he is looking forward to doing? “Contrary to my image, I am a very chilled out person, quite unlike the dark roles that I have been getting offered. I am only doing roles that interest and excite me.”
