Ekta Kapoor makes Prachi Desai cry

Actor Prachi Desai is on cloud nine. The young actress was treated to two back to back soulful and nostalgic experiences, courtesy producer of her new film and good friend, Ekta Kapoor.
Ekta surprised Prachi by taking her to Sinhaghad college, in Pune where Prachi studied Arts. Prachi was consumed with emotion when she stepped into her college, after a gap of many years.

A source present during her visit tells us, “Prachi burst into tears. It wasn’t like she was unhappy but the moment of nostalgia was too much for her to handle. The producers had not told anybody as to where they were taking her. Even actor Emraan Hashmi, with whom she is paired in her new gangster film was not aware of the surprise in store for Prachi. Her principal welcomed her and put a shawl around her neck. The college also welcomed Emraan by making him wear the Puneri topi. It was quite a nice moment for them all.”

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Emraan and Prachi visited Ajmer Sharif to offer prayers at the dargah for the success of their new movie. A source says, “Emraan has kept a secret mannat so that the film does well. Most stars wear a burqa during such visits to avoid crowd trouble. But the team felt that they should just go in being themselves. However, as soon as people found out that the cast was in the vicinity, they started chasing their cars.”

The insider adds, “The security had to be alerted and the stars were provided with instant police protection. An entourage kept the fans at bay till the time Emraan and Prachi left the city. It was quite a hectic day for them.”
