Ekta Kapoor detained at Mumbai airport for suspected duty evasion

TV and film producer Ekta Kapoor was detained at the Mumbai airport for suspected duty evasion on late Sunday night. She was intercepted at the airport and booked for ‘’misdeclaration’’ of branded clothes and accessories worth reportedly worth a lakh.

She was diverted from Green Channel at about 10.45 pm having landed from Bangkok and was a let off late in the night, after a case was booked. She was intercepted by a team led by assistant commissioner Sameer Wankhede.  Airport officials and Ekta's representatives haven't made any statements so far.

In the past, many celebrities have come under the scanner for undeclared goods from Anushka Sharma, Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba.
