Do not indulge in scams or corruption: Shah Rukh Khan’s advice to GenNext

There’s one thing that actor Shah Rukh Khan hates when he opens a newspaper early in the morning — stories of corruption and scams. According to the superstar, India will not progress unless  youngsters learn to shun anything that has to do with scams.

“It is my earnest plea — do not indulge in scams or corruption,” reiterated the actor while talking to a bunch of management students on what he feels should drive the country.

King Khan also stressed on the fact that it’s the younger generation who drive the country — they are the future and the future of the nation weighs on them.

“Everyday there are new scams in newspapers and TV. So, I request the young generation to do things that do not leave the the generations after them embarrassed,” he said.

According to Shah Rukh, one has to make the best use of what one has got from God. “Just make the best of opportunities and I wish all of you (the student community) all the best,” he says.

The actor says he doesn’t dither when it comes to asking advice from others, including his seniors.

Citing an example, SRK asked superstar Amitabh Bachchan for a tip before going on the stage at an event in New York. And Bachchan turned around and told him, “Just ensure your zipper is pulled up!” And that’s what Shah Rukh has been following till this day, whenever he takes to the stage.

“So I did that before my performance! And that’s all I have to advise you youngsters —make sure all your zippers are intact when you do anything in life, and all shall be well,” says Shah Rukh in his signature style.
