Deepika Padukone shows up at Ranbir Kapoor's surprise birthday bash

For the first time, since they broke up three years back, actress  Deepika Padukone seem to have agreed to party with former beau, actor Ranbir Kapoor.

The actor responded to a call for a surprise birthday party for Ranbir that was jointly hosted by his parents Rishi and Neetu Kapoor and the producers of his forthcoming film. Interestingly, Deepika strolled in at the Juhu nightclub without her rumoured boyfriend, Siddhartha Mallya. Also present were actors Priyanka Chopra and Nargis Fakhri with whom he has been linked with in the past.

“She is doing a film with Ranbir, and so, it was just a matter of time about getting comfortable about socialising with Ranbir. The surprise really came from his mom Neetu’s warm behaviour towards Deepika. Both seemed happy to be in each other’s company,” says a source. Deepika and Ranbir were courteous to each other in the party. “They were like friends. They spoke to each other, but there were no sparks flying,” the source adds.

Nargis was like a newcomer in the group. “She was the one who came and said hi to everybody including Deepika and Priyanka.

They never really bonded with her. She was with filmmaker Ayan Mukherji throughout the evening. She also screened a short off-the-set hilarious handycam film at the party. A track from Rockstar was played repeatedly at the party,” said the source.

Apparently, Ranbir’s birthday present was a special mutton biryani flown in from a particular restaurant called Aminia in Kolkata.
